The Parrot 2.0 WiFi Quadricopter Drone is the ultimate flying device for amateurs looking t o get up in the air as soon as possible. This is controllable by a free to download iOS or Android app called AR. Freeflight. It uses the integrated gyroscope for flying the device.
You simply have to tilt your device towards the direction of flying and the drone will follow. If you’ve ever flown an RC helicopter or plane, then you will know how difficult it is to keep it in the air. Drones are different; the Parrot 2.0 features an automatic stabilisation mode for when you let go of the controls. This will keep it in the air regardless of what you are doing on your phone – you can answer calls and text at the same time!

So do you need reliable WiFi to fly it?
No! The drone has the ability to function as a router and generate its own WiFi network between itself and the smartphone or tablet controlling it, thus eliminating any latency or loss of connection you would otherwise get with a normal WiFi connection.
It is capable of flying in light wind conditions, delivering a clean high definition image straight from the pilot’s sea.
Withe AR Parrot Drone 2.0 you can use the AR Freeflight application to record video and pictures straight to your phone via the WiFi streaming capability. The app also features direct sharing to friends and family which you can do straight after landing without having to download the data first. It is also possible to record straight to a USB stick attached to the drone for those wishing to shoot longer videos without using their smartphone or tablet as a recording device.
It is possible to perform the unique acrobatic move pre-programmed into the AR Parrot Drone called “The Flip“. At the press of a single button on the iPhone or Android app, the AR Drone 2.0 will flip forwards, backwards or perform a barrel roll and then recover by itself during flight.
You do not need any experience to enjoy this features thanks to the embedded sensors and the drone’s high unique stability even in light wind conditions.
